The Winter Exhibition is the largest and most exciting show of the year for The Illustration Cupboard. There are over thirty of today's' best book illustrators from all over the world represented and over 250 original drawings and illustrations on view and for sale with prices for original illustration artwork ranging from £150 to £3000.

This year the Winter Exhibition will have much of a magical and fantastical theme. And a top highlight for this exhibition will be Roger Garland's original drawings for The Lord of The Rings, written by JRR Tolkein and published by Harper Collins. Included in this series is a full-page colour illustration of Sauron's castle Barad-Dur, produced for the final book The Return of the King. Roger has never sold his work produced for the JRR Tolkein series before and these rare illustrations will prove to be very popular indeed!

To complement the theme of wizards there will also be work by the Hans Christian Andersen award winner Robert Ingpen selling the full page illustrations from his latest book The Wizard's Book of Spells.

It is with great pleasure that we are delighted to welcome to The Illustration Cupboard for the first time top selling author and illustrator Jill Murphy. Jill has never sold work before and we are fortunate to be including the original illustrations from her best selling books The Worst Witch, and also the full page colour illustrations from her much loved book about the Last Family - Peace at Last.

The magical themes will continue with another newcomer to the Illustration Cupboard - Val Biro. Val Biros' books have enthralled generations of readers, and the exhibition will feature his original work from the much loved and well-known Gumdrop series as well as his highly entertaining book Django Dragon.

Other highlights include new work by Anthony Browne for Willy The Champ and also previously unreleased work from The Night Shimmy.

The magic of Christmas would never be complete with Raymond Briggs's The Snowman. The Illustration Cupboard is delighted to announce that cels from The world famous animation film based on Raymond Briggs's original story will be included in the show, alongside other original stills from Father Christmas, the animation film also based on Raymond's original much loved book.

We welcome from Japan Atsuko Morozumi, showing for the first time with her books The Reindeer Christmas and One Gorilla.

Other much loved and best selling illustrators to be included in the show will be Shirley Hughes, Angela Barrett, Satoshi Kitamura, and Babette Cole. Anita Jeram and Michael Foreman.

All work will be previewed on the new designed Illustration Cupboard website
